MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin - The Milwaukee Bucks proved one thing Tuesday night at the Bradley Center. They can almost beat the Boston Celtics' second unit.
Almost.
After a dreadful start that saw the Bucks fall behind by 15 points in the first quarter and 25 in the third, the Bucks rallied in the fourth quarter against the Celtics' reserves only to fall in overtime, 107-104.
With the Celtics prepping for what they hope will be a long playoff run, coach Doc Rivers had his starters on the bench in the fourth quarter. That's when the Bucks rallied from a 14-point deficit to send the game into overtime tied, 99-99, after a three-point basket by Michael Redd with 10.5 seconds left. Boston's Eddie House missed a three-pointer at the end of regulation.
Bucks coach Larry Krystkowiak was willing afterward to overlook Boston's 17-2 start and give his players credit for their fourth-quarter comeback regardless of who it came against.
Andrew Bogut provided some comic relief from what has become a lost season for Milwaukee, joking about his triple-double Tuesday -- points (15), rebounds (15) and turnovers (10). Bogut also had 5 assists and 4 blocks.
"My offense was terrible," Bogut said. "I felt like a little kid out there." Full Story.
